My 2022 New Years Resolutions

For the first time in my adult life, I think I don't actually have solid, concrete New Year's Resolutions. Maybe I do want to spend this year watching less TV (although I really love Emily in Paris), or maybe I do want to read more books (book club anyone?). So many great things come from resolutions, but they can also ignite feelings of perfectionism and - GASP - burnout. Despite not having quite concrete RESOLUTIONS for 2022, I have what I'm calling "initiatives" in this New Year:

  1. I would like to initiate more fun into my daily and weekly life! Don't get me wrong - I have TONS of fun working and making jokes, both as a Wedding Planner and Personal Trainer. But I definitely put scheduled "fun" on the back-burner. Here's to getting some FUN put back into the mix - scheduled or not, intentional or not.

  2. I would love to initiate more REST - intentional, whole-body, calming rest. I see my dogs take a rest when they're tired - without permission, without guilt. They just pass out in the middle of the floor. Hopefully I won't do the same, but still.

  3. Maybe what I'm saying with these initiatives is I'm trying to be more like my dogs - play when the mood strikes, rest when the body requests, and find a good amount of balance in between.

To a beautifully balanced 2022, to all of you, to health and harmony, to feeling satisfied and fulfilled daily. Happy New Year!
