2023 New Year resolutions

The time has come - and it is honestly my favorite time of the year. Welcome to 2023, all!

As we’re coming off vacations filled with family, friends, and leisure, I am personally incredibly excited to get back into a routine and start implementing my resolutions for this upcoming year.

This morning’s yoga class had some powerful insight into what we can bring into 2023, which has altered some of my ideas for what resolutions could include.

1.Capture more “states of flow”

The most valuable time I personally feel is when I am in a state of flow, doing things each day that don’t feel like “work” or “effort.” One of my resolutions for 2023 is to capture more of those feelings! Some tasks that definitely put me into a state of flow include:

  • Dancing

  • Cooking

  • Focusing on fun, rewarding work tasks

  • Chatting with friends - always

  • Learning more information about health and wellness!

2. Relax and unwind with connection

Staying balanced is hard - both on the yoga mat and in live. To continue maintaining balance in my life, I would LOVE to incorporate wellness and relaxation, but also include SOMEONE in the mix! Friends and colleagues - spa days anyone?!? ASAP?

3. Enter your confidence era

I’ve lived many days scared, insecure, and withdrawn. With that comes a self-fulfilling prophecy of being “let-down” by yourself. Instead, I’m taking the bull by the horns - being unapologetically CONFIDENT! It’s alright if we make mistakes - we’re human - but being confident will help make up for the mistakes we do make.
